Jemma Jane: Rockwall Newborn Photography

New life is an amazing thing to witness using a fun photo booth. New life that came from us, though, always seems to affect us on a much deeper level. Suddenly, when our precious little one is born, our knowledge and experience of love grows in ways that we never thought possible, and it continues to grow in leaps and bounds just as our child does. The first few months of your child’s life is a whirlwind of change, as your little one puts on the pounds. One of your biggest wishes will be that you could freeze every moment, so you can really cherish the time your kiddo is a teeny-tiny human. And that’s why newborn photography is so important, because it grants that wish!

The first few days of a new baby are very special. So soon after the birth and most likely sleep deprived, our memory quickly becomes foggy. Photographs from Camarie Photography help you remember what you felt like at that time especially if you are in the picture too.

It will be harder for first-time parents to know when the time is right. I would suggest contacting a Birth Photographer early (at least two months before your due date) and plan a session in the first two weeks after the birth. Unless you know you would prefer to wait, do it early. You cannot go back in time, while you can ask a photographer to come back later.

Waiting has its advantages too. Unlike me, you might be a little more organised as the weeks go by and feel more like “yourself” again. I personally think the post-birth bellies are a beautiful reminder of what just happened, but it’s important that YOU feel good about yourself too.

If you can’t choose, why not do an early newborn session then a session when your baby is around 6-8 months and finally a last one around his/her first birthday? First-year baby plans might be the perfect option for you.

While capturing the moment and giving you a rest are important, making a keepsake is definitely the most important reason to have a professional newborn session. It’s quite literally a once in a lifetime event, and there’s only a small window to have them done, but it’s so worth the effort to be able to look back on those memories forever. Our memory get cloudy with time, but those pictures of your little treasure will stay clear and beautiful forever, so you can remember every little detail when they’re all grown up. And that’s a picture that’s worth more than its weight in gold!
